SEE Canvas · SAME Framework · 30/60/90-Day Follow-Up

The Programme

Practical. Bilingual. Followed through.

SEE stands for Solutions for Entrepreneurship and Employment.

Built on one principle: SAME

S, Simple

No jargon. No theory for theory's sake. Every session produces a decision or a filled canvas section.

A, Actionable

Participants leave every session with something they can do today.

M, Memorable

Grounded in local stories and characters participants recognise from their own communities.

E, Experiential

Learning happens by doing, completing the canvas, calculating the numbers, pitching to peers.

We don't stop at graduation.

1

Day 0

Training complete. SEE Canvas filled. Business plan in hand.

2

Day 30

Field visit. Business assessed. Challenges identified. Support provided.

3

Day 60 & 90

Follow-through continues until the 75% survival target is confirmed.

The 30/60/90-day follow-up cycle is what separates Elimu+ from every other training programme in this community. There are no free follow-ups: each visit is a paid part of the partnership, priced per participant and agreed up front, so it is planned, carried out and reported on properly. See the 2026 rates.

Meet Mwanahamisi.

She sells omena at her stall in Soweto estate, Likoni. She buys stock from Hamisi and shares her space with Siti. Her customers include Fatuma, who comes every Tuesday. Mwanahamisi is not a fictional character built for convenience, she is the kind of entrepreneur Elimu+ is built for. Every session uses her business as the teaching canvas. Contribution margin is calculated on her omena. Break-even is mapped to her stall rent. Competition is assessed against what Siti sells beside her. When participants complete their own canvas, they have already done it once for someone they recognise.

Biashara ya kweli. Mafunzo ya kweli.
(Real business. Real training.)

The SEE Canvas: 12 sections. One business made clear.

SEE stands for Solutions for Entrepreneurship and Employment. The SEE Canvas is a bilingual, Swahili-first business planning framework with 12 sections arranged across two landscape pages. It covers the problem a business solves, who the customers are, what makes the business unique, how money flows in and out, and what the numbers mean. Every participant completes it. Every partner institution receives completed canvases as evidence of learning.

“Sasa ninajua faida ninayopata kwa kila bidhaa. Ninajua kivunja gharama changu. Ninajua ninachopaswa kuuza kila siku ili biashara hii ifanye kazi. Kabla ya Elimu+, nilikuwa nakisia tu.” In English: “I now know my margin on every item. I know my break-even. I know what I must sell each day to make this work. Before Elimu+, I was only guessing.” Mshiriki wa kundi la kwanza la watu wazima (a participant in the first adult cohort)
